Beagle running

guys went out today for 4 hours didn't even get a jump lots of rabbit hair laying around but no rabbits 1 ringneck roaster I don't know whats killing them looks like owl or hawk work going to try another spot Saturday.

All those hawks and owls have to be eating something to survive. They ate all the pheasants. Use to be what most new hunters stared on, smallgame. Could be part of the reason for a hunter decline, lack of small game.

Now that is a thought, but even with the high numbers of hawks and owls no one will push for a season. You will hear that they are protected by the migratory bird act but so are ducks geese doves and other birds that are hunted. A good question is when do we have enough of them. Sad thing is hunting is a dying tradition.

Went out today jump 10 got 3 it wasn't the dogs they did real good but im a little rusty on shooting so most of them got to live another day to run again took the wife she shot 2 of them or we wouldn't have them for the pot. She has a single shot 20 gauge and she can hit anything with that gun.
