SGL maps?? (pre PGC Mapping Ctr)

Fellas,
Before the online PGC Mapping Center, you could download/print pdf's of SGL maps.

Does anyone know if there is still a link to these SGL maps in pdf?

thx

Don't know if the function is still available. I've printed a bunch in the past. I also have large collection of the ones they used to mail to you, they were basically the same as the PDF printouts.

Sorry I didn't answer your question, just felt like commenting...

Eh...wot?

They still had a link on the mapping site just recently where you could get the the old maps. Looks like it's been taken down now. Bummer. Bet if you contacted someone thru the site, they'd get you what you needeed.

These are the good old days.

After going on the site this year I was really bummed to see the system changed. Had no clue what I was looking at now. Dont know why they had to change a good thing but Im glad to see it just wasnt me that may be a bit frustrated with it.

You can go on the PGC mapping site. Look up the sgl in interest. Change the map to topo and print.

Yeah I know. I'm not trying to be a curmudgeon, the company I work for has an entire GIS dept. So I know my way around GIS.

The new GIS mapping is nice in that you can switch btwn usgs topo, aerial photos and such, but the site feature detail of of the previous PDF maps is missing.

Re: SGL maps?? (pre PGC Mapping Ctr)

I've been able to find all the same features such as parking areas, in addition to road names which is always a biggie and not available on the old maps, Go to ariel view and see all the food plots...

I have found the new maps very informative once I played them and watched the instructive videos a couple of times.

The instructor goes through but too quickly for me so I had to view them a few times..
