Never know what you will see while hunting.

I was able to walk up to a Snowshoe Hair today while grouse hunting. I didn't have the heart to tell the bunny that he was not at all hidden without snow on the ground. I could not believe how close it let me get.

Re: Never know what you will see while hunting.

years ago, my two cousins, botrh in their teens were walking back to camp. It was mid-November and snowless. One cousin stops, and almost at his feet was a snowshoe. The rabbit held tight, my cousin got out his Marine fighting knife clone, gave it a flip and it was fried rabbit for supper. I've had them close in these conditions, but never that close.

So cool!! that is a cute snowshoe. In a way, glad to know the little bugger is still running around

A bad day hunting rabbits beats a good day of anything else!
