There is no rabbit worth dealing with this weather. Supposed to be warm and wet this weekend.

Only going to last a few days

Should be better today, I think the dewpoint was in the negative the last few days, my dogs would struggle with that. Saturday looks like real good conditions.

When the tailgate drops, the -- stops...

We had quite a few jumps this morning but nothing would run past the first hole they came to...

Ahh, I hate those days. Nothing worse than nice beagle going muffled with it's head in a hole.

depends on the humidity I believe. I hunted with 3 beagles yrs. ago ..10 degrees and snowing . The dogs pounded the rabbit for 2 large circles ;then it holed. It seems like when the cover is sparse the cottontails will go to holes quicker. snow, cold, little cover...seem to affect them ..sometimes. I just go out and enjoy the scenery . and solitude
