Hard earned Bunny limits

Buddy and I got together and did a little recon.
We do this once or twice a year to keep fresh ground under us.
We hit 2 new spots to check them out.
Both held a decent bunny population but not a great one.
So we took 3 rabbits of the first spot and 2 off the second.
Then we went to 1 of Buddy's little honey holes near his house to round out our limits.
Took all day and plenty of boot leather but we got her done.
The dogs were 100% whooped.
They did a super job on some nasty frozen ground.
I have bunny hunted 5 of the last 7 days, so I am taking tomorrow off to rest the dogs and also my tired old bones.
Been a great week, topped off by a pleasurable hard hunt with Buddy.

I always enjoy these photos... don't usually comment as I can't necessarily relate but enjoy them none the less. If I had the extra time I'd have a hound or two.

If guns cause crime, mine must be broken.

Awesome. You eat a lot more rabbit stew than I do.

The funny thing is lots of people say that there aren't many rabbits around, but a guy with a couple of hounds can stay quite busy in good habitat.
