Unafraid Grouse

I was checking traps this morning when I was about to get in my truck and saw this guy walking on the road.

I thought I'd see how close I could get and he was not alarmed by my presence at all!

Re: Unafraid Grouse

About 3 years ago there was one that came and sat on the barrel of my buddies shotgun during spring turkey season. It followed them to the cabin and they fed it for acouple weeks, would come right inside the cabin!

Re: Unafraid Grouse

They never act like that when you're hunting them though. Thanks for the pictures.

Got that right! Even when I'm hunting grouse and purposely looking for them they scare the heck out of me when they explode from cover. What's not to love about that!

I had one do just about the same thing. It was years ago in Cameron Co. Thanks for the pic and bringing back a good memory of times gone by.
