Best Pheasant Info

Here is a link to the best source of pheasant information I have seen. After reading this, you will know everything there is to know about pheasants and pheasant requirements.
It is 11 pages but chock full of good info. Montana Pheasant Management

Thanks Lynn. I'm gonna save it for Christmas day when I have to hang out at the in-laws for hours and hours and....

If you enjoy hunting please find a way to give back to the sport. Our children will thank you.

Re: Best Pheasant Info

That was some good reading Lynn. Most of it I knew already. One thing that hit me when reading it is, Pheasants are not Native to the US (which I know), but they fill a real niche in the ecosystem that is not really considered "Invasive".

If you enjoy hunting please find a way to give back to the sport. Our children will thank you.

Re: Best Pheasant Info

When people bring up that pheasants aren't native, I like to remind them that honey bees aren't native and look how much we get from them. Horses aren't native but the horse changed history in this country. Just because something is not native does not automatically mean it is not beneficial.

Re: Best Pheasant Info

A lot of good info. The more you learn, the more you realize that there is still plenty more to learn.

It's breeding,training...and something unknown.

Re: Best Pheasant Info

Great article!! But it did make me chuckle

. Ironically, much can be done to improve pheasant habitat simply by doing nothing! For example, leaving roadside ditches un-mowed would provide thousands of acres of pheasant habitat
