Christmas Phesants

Did anyone have any luck with the last stocking right before Christmas last year? we hunted 3 different game lands last year on the day they were supposed to stock and we had no luck and didn't see any pheasants. we are going to give it a go this year and hopefully we will get the dogs into a few. we had an awesome early season with a lot of birds and some tired dogs. we hunt north west pa. good luck to all those going out!

Re: Christmas Phesants

If you look at those numbers, that's not a lot of birds. Really gotta work for them. Gives a great excuse to get out there with the pooch though !!!!

These are the good old days.

I agree 100% just love getting the dogs out and taking a walk!! Heading north in the morning and hoping the snow's not to deep.

Re: Christmas Phesants

The season is open and the stocking occurs BEFORE Xmas so by the time the 26th rolls around what birds are left are well scattered.

Re: Christmas Phesants

We got into them the 2nd place we stopped at about 2pm we both got our limit and the dogs put up a few more. we also saw a goof ball with 2 dogs he kept yelling at and shocking constantly (personally I hate shock collars) he ran up on us once after we knocked one down and when he went by it looked like he had about 6 pheasants in his vest. I cant say for sure but I would have to say he had more than his limit. People have a lot of balls!
