grousing guidance

After our great outings the last few weeks and the 20 some ringnecks we have in the freezer we have thought we will change our 3rd annual thanksgiving pheasant hunt to a grouse hunt. Only problem is we have only even grouse hunted in Tioga county. Could anyone just give me a little guidance on some SGL to hunt grouse within say 2 hours of Southeast PA. LIk no mor west then bloomsburg and north to I-80 maybe as far north as Gouldsboro/tobyhanna area?

Re: grousing guidance

Good Luck, but I've been repeatedly told that there are NO grouse north of 80.

Re: grousing guidance

PM sent,

When you find the areas I mentioned, I look for stuff that looks like this. These were taken a few years ago in the area I mentioned. I highly recommend scouting this area when we have a little snow on ground it will help you to focus your efforts.

Good Luck

The picture of your Black Lab in the snow with the Grouse is fantastic!
