Using snares

Is it ever permitted to use snares to take rabbits. They don't appear to be on the trapping lists.

no snares are not legal in this state. Cable restraints have a season but not for small game which includes rabbit

Perhaps rabbits are not on the traping list because they are not furbearing animals! There is a very limited use of snares allowed for a limited number of species.




When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Snares are actually only legal for beavers and must be submerged.

Cable restraints are legal for foxes and coyotes after Christmas.
