Young Rabbits

While hitting the yardsales on Saturday,I noticed a tiny tuft of fur in a yard.Reached down to find a nest of young furred but eyes not open.Told the owner and they put a chair over it so nobody would step on them.
This young and 6 weeks till they are open season! This explains some of the smaller rabbits we pass on when hunting with the beagles in the early season.

The answers to all of life's questions are found in the Bible!

Re: Young Rabbits

I have noticed dramatic reduction over the past few weeks. A month ago it seemed the hounds has a rabbit up before they could pee.

I am also noticing far less bunnies in yards on the early morning ride to the running grounds. (3 last trip compared to a high of 18 about 6 weeks ago.)

Still lots of bunnies with very few spots that have disappointed me. The woodcock however, seem to have vacated my primary running grounds.

Re: Young Rabbits

We've noticed a drop off around us too. Happens every year.
