One fat grouse

Found one I think I can hit with a shot gun he can't be able to fly to fast. He would come to see me every time I use one of my deer stands. Even was drumming one day he must be ready for a ruff winter

As Charles Barkley says, "I may be wrong, but I doubt it".

Re: One fat grouse

That's a big grouse! I had a grouse land on a branch right above me while on the stand!

Re: One fat grouse

That's me in my sporty new carolinas. Grouse do the craziest things.

I spend 20 minutes trying to get this bird off the road. He kept following me and attacking my hand/sticks/etc. He musta been high on fermented berries.

Please put your WMU in your location! Helps! 3C

That is huge. It's funny how white they get in the winter.
If the grouse are bothering you get a bird dog! That seems to keep them away.

Think before you share your thoughts!!!

Re: One fat grouse

Ive seen grouse do some crazy things. I once shot a nice buck and began to field dress him out, a grouse flew down and was only inches from the buck's head the entire time. I could have tossed my knife and hit him easily. Sometimes they just do crazy things!

It's breeding,training...and something unknown.
