Bird Season PE (Part 2)

On to the real season (Grouse). Grouse have been spotty for me this year but two of us managed a limit this day:

And a great 30 bird day produced these:

Up at grouse camp:

Thanksgiving Day:

This is what it is all about:

The day Hurricane Sandy hit Pennsylvania:

Snipe and dove mixed bag:

And finally a late season woodcock:

GOOD LUCK THE REST OF THE SEASON!!!!

If it weren't for Bird Dogs and Upland Game Birds I would be just another Bored Old Man!

What a great year and it's not over yet. A great mix of birds too.

For God's sake Joe smile. If I could get into that many birds I'd be grinning ear to ear . Give Lilly an ear rub from me.

Beauty of a season your having!
As always, I'm tad bit green with envy from your posts.
Did you get Lily a running mate? Both are great looking setters.

I was wondering how you were doing this year. Very good I see.

Good luck in the second season.

Re: Bird Season PE (Part 2)

Barberry,
Great pictures, I especially like the backing picture with the dog up on the hill. It's been a very good Grouse season here on the northern tier, but again our bird have become very spooky again because of the predatores.
Again this season we have had lot of out of state hunters,
Mass, Ohio and NJ guys especially. We will see what the 2nd season brings on Monday the 10th. Shot very few Woodcock this season due to Sandy, the flight just was not the same.
