This season has been great (as they all are). My setter Lilly is now 8 1/2 years old and we have hunted real hard this year. Dove season was incredible, pheasant were everywhere (thanks PGC), a shot a few snipe off of points from Lilly, made 2 trips to grouse camp and had a pretty decent woodcock season. Even though I think the grouse population is spotty this year, it has still been pretty good.
The season started for us on September 1st chasing doves and I got out most evenings and weekends during the season:
Lilly pointed many doves for me, however, this was a snipe she pointed before the season on snipe opened.

Pheasants were everywhere during the regular season. On this particular day, I took a half day off of work to go try find a few woodcock at a local game lands. When I arrived I found no vehicles at the parking lot. We started in and found they must have just dumped a bunch of birds out (this was a Tuesday). Lilly ended up pointing 21 roosters:
