Lackawanna State Park

Anybody have an info on when they stock the state park. I have about 2 hrs in between class and was wondering if running home to get my hunting stuff and trying it for an hour would be worth it.

Re: Lackawanna State Park

I know they just stocked it last week, not sure about when they will dump birds there again. I won't step foot there, it's like a war zone. Too many foolish individuals.
I'm not a bird hunter but I have hunted for cottontail on the side hill adjacent to where they release birds. I've literally seen guys shooting birds as they were releasing them from the trucks.

The boat mooring area used to be HOT for birds BUT it is so overgrown a dog has trouble getting in there!! I hunted there years ago and had the place to ourselves most days.

Are you talking about the dam end of the lake, to the left where a small creek runs in? Not the back end where the main creek feeds the lake.

Re: Lackawanna State Park

Went out Thursday only 3 trucks there got one hen in about 20 minutes of heavy bush wacking and flushed some woodcock. Not bad this year with guys pretty dead. Will never hunt the first day don't want to get peppered with shot again. But like to head up there during the week for a quick hunt
