Grouse tail fan displays

Lets see your tail fan displays! I have three shown,. one in a shadow box. I came up with the idea to use the neck feathers to cover the meaty area, havent seen that done by any one else.

Did you ever hear of an old tradition pulling a grouse tail feather and putting it on a stump or log by where the bird was harvested?
By the way, those displays are very nice!

The horizon is your starting point.

Very nice shadow box, here is one I put together with
Grouse Tails and different dogs and family members. The Shadow box hangs in the eves of our Log Cabin in Potter/Tioga, Pa.
