Spent the day with some PA biologists, Don Jacobs and his crew, and a small group of other guys and dogs at the Hegins/Gratz WPRA. Couldn't of asked for a nicer day and flushed close to 40-50 birds. Watch for the show to come on...Don said probably around Feb. 26. They got some great footage of dog work and wild birds.
Yeah we did 2 of the farms that were also done during the flushing survey. This is for the Hegins/Gratz WPRA. The purpose is to give the biologists an idea of what kind of numbers they are looking at and a sex ratio. I don't have the exact results anymore, accidentaly deleted them out of my email, but they were somewhere around 2:1 (hens:cocks) which is what they are looking for. Some areas produced better than others. If you need/want to know all of the specifics, the regional PGC office should be able to hook you up with that information
Yeah they usually put the shows up on their section of the WNEP website a few days after they air. But it will be on there sometime the week after it comes on the air. not sure if they put it on live or not
