Re: Beaver county

Havn't hunted grouse in Beaver County in years, but I use to when I was young, behind the Village Inn off of Rt.30. I forget the # of the gamelands but I did pretty good.

I see said the Blind Carpenter to his Deaf Helper as he picked up his Hammer and Saw!

Re: Beaver county

I never really did either but always had insidental contact. I've hunted here for 12 years and I remember always puttin up grouse deer hunting. Finally on my own with a good gun dog and there's no birds that I have seen. I haven't gone after them specifically but gonna hit it saterday rather than doe hunt. Looking for a hand out if any one has any sightings

Re: Beaver county

We flush a few while rabbit hunting the gamelands near raccoon park. It's off park road I think. Drive up a road that looks like a private drive and it turns into a game lands parking lot. Not sure of the number of that game lands.

Re: Beaver county

Hunted Hilman and Raccoon State Park one afternoon each this week ZERO jumps or tracks in the snow.

In the 70 thru 80's I limited out several days a year sometimes in an hour or two.

The cover looks the same as it did then except the Crab Apple Trees are all gone.

Re: Beaver county

I've hunted a few times with a bird dog in two SGLs in Beaver County and did not have one grouse flush. I did have an incidental flush in Rifle season though on private land. It is frustrating hunting grouse here.
