flying squirrels?

Are they legal to shoot during squirrel season ? I know the northern flying squirrels are protected, but these are the smaller ones , not protected.

Re: flying squirrels?

not to bust your chops, but why would you want to? they are such cool little creatures and pretty rare. plus they are about the size of a chipmunk so eating would be minimal.
