We made our third northern voyage of the 2011 - 12 season (Second trip to Vermont) this last week. We hunted hare for 3 days in northern vermont.
There wasn't much snow on the ground but the trees were just covered. Made for some spotty running as the dogs knocked all that snow down on top of themselves and the hare tracks.
But we had a blast anyway, taking 17 in three days despite the wall of white.

Been a busy fall 22 days hunting rabbits and hare so far and a full 2 state deer season under my belt.
I might just even hunt PA hare a day or two this year for the first time in about 20 years.
