Take him to a decent bunny area with a bit of leg room and see what happens!

Another day in paradise. God hunts on Sundays.

Re: 4 year old beagle and two kids

If you want to make the drive, i'll bring you up to the beagle club so you can throw him the starter pens.

Our beagle club don;t ask to see your dogs papers, just as long as you got beagles you can join.

E-collars work well as long as you train your dog right with them. I never used to use one, but with Jake, who is a speed demon, its nice to be able to call him back. Its mostly for safety and i really only ever use the tone button to get him to listen.

Have you done any obedience work with your dog? You should have at least have some basic obedience done with him, without a collar, such as here, stay, sit, down. A beagle with no obedience running rabbits can make for a very frustrating day of hunting. They are stubborn especially when they are just using there nose to think.
