snow shoes in the NE

I am thinking of doing a day trip to do some snowshoe hunting on foot ive been told they are up in the NE gouldsboro/scranton area. anyone know how the population is? id be doing a dogless hunt as long as the ground stays bare of snow.

The population is low in the entire state, if you find them don't tell anyone where they are and don't kill too many in one spot. Especially this year where it looks like it will be white hare on bare ground, it's easy to kill a bunch of them.

I don't know about Scranton but 40 minutes north we have about 8 inches of snow on the ground now. Bobcat and coyote are eating the snowshoes rabbit

Wow, we don't have anything over here, and it's supposed to warm up this week. I didn't know there was that much snow on the ground in the north east.

Who told you such lies? There are no hare up this way. Coyotes ate them all.

well if theres snowon the ground no worries i wont be killing any. they are all yours beagler.I dont have dogs nor know anyone with beagles in this end of the state guess i gotta wait a few more years

I work in the scranton area and have some good info on some spots close to scranton I need to check out. Trapper54 Do you have any spots you know that are def reliable. I have some dogs and would be willing to go scout some spots with you.
