Last update before a kill

Well, It'll be one month Saturday since my dog Mack got hurt and ended in losing his tongue. His neck where the stick came out is now completely healed other than it has no fur, his tongue is fully healed closed also.

So I said what the heck, I got his shocker out and called him over, as soon as he saw it he lost his mind. I thought he was going to cease up he was shaking so bad from excitement, he loves that collar, he knows what it means.

I know more than got it latched and the dude was out the door, down our shooting range and hit the lone briar patch on our property at about mach 2. It wasn't 15 seconds and he lights up the woods like he just saw bigfoot! All 3 of my dogs together again, round and round. I let him run around for 20 minutes and called him in. At this point he's covered in blood and I'm like [censored]? Well he was just whipping his tail so hard it was tossing blood all over him, lol. The dog needs a kevlar suit.

Gave him a bowl of water, 1st time I saw him drink. He just buried his lower jaw and moved his lips, sorta sucked it in like a horse does. Sounds just like a dog with a tongue.

Needless to say, training has begun again, hare season in 3 weeks!

Re: Last update before a kill

Does he still sound the same as he did when he had a tongue?

Re: Last update before a kill

Great news and good to hear!

Told the story to my wife and kids a few weeks back, they were awstruck! They have been asking about how he was doing! I'll let them all know he is doing good.
