Can someone help?

I wish I did not have to ask this because I know people dont like to give up spots in fear of them being ruined and what not.. But I have been after a fox squrrill for some time now. Im having way to much trouble finding them been trying for two years now and they are kinda sparce in my area. Does anyone know of a place within 45min or so of Cambria county where there are any? I just want one big fox squrrill that would make a nice mount. Any help is appreciated.

Hey mink man. I am from the Nicktown area. I personally have never seen one in the woods.

Re: Can someone help?

I know this is more than 45 min away but I live around the clarion area and they are fairly common up here.

Re: Can someone help?

minkman I am in the same boat. I have been driving 2 hours to chambersburg to hunt them for 2 years, and I can't find them. Everyone I talk to tells me that the Michaux state forest is littered with them. I have seen one, once running across the road in front of my truck.I am actually in a hotel right now so I can hunt early tomorrow for a second day in a row. I have heard the foxes are more weary then the grays.

Re: Can someone help?

I could tell you of a place in Cambria county where I've killed 3, but then I'd have to kill ya!

I'll shoot ya a PM.

Re: Can someone help?

I see many many many on a farm in franklin county. Find big sycamore trees near water, with oaks mixed in and you'll find what you're looking for.

Re: Can someone help?

I seem to see most fox squirrels when I'm hunting woods adjacent to farmland.
