Take a kid rabbit hunting

Well, today fellow HPA'er PSA and his son Matt met me for the youth rabbit hunt. We started the hunt at 8am and at 10:10am Matt had his 4th rabbit in the bag. I don't think any of us were expecting him to limit out so quickly.

The dogs jumped 7 rabbits today, 2 went in a hole, 4 went in Matt's game bag, and I had to call the dogs off the last one so we could go eat lunch. We even got to see a really nice buck on the way this morning.

Re: Take a kid rabbit hunting

It is nice that you helped get a youth involved in the outdoors. it is fantastic that he did so well. It helps get them hooked. I just got home from Elk County youth pheasant hunt. To everyone that took or offered to take a youth hunting today my hat is off to you. We need more people to get involved.

Think before you share your thoughts!!!

Great to see that! Nice dogs, nice limit of bunnies, and a really nice old Ithica by the looks of it! Congrats Matt!

You're right Joe, it's a very nice old Ithaca, 16 gauge.
