Pheasant opener

Anyone from Indiana county heading out tomorrow. Hopefully it's not too crowded and the birds cooperate. Good luck and stay safe

My boys, father and myself are all excited. The lab knows as well. She will not leave my side. Likes like a beautiful opener tomorrow. Good luck to all and bring some stories back.

There's hunting and there's hunting with a good dog

Back from a fun morning in Cambria County with la pair of beautiful coc birds on State gamelands. Met Warden Kershaw yesterday, very congenial and informative conversation with him. I must give credit where credit is due, PGC doing a good job with gamelands in this area. Attitude of Mr. Henshaw much better than I have seen from some other Wardens, maybe he should give some training classes. Be safe out there and shoot straight. Saw lots of competitive operation between different groups of hunters this morning, very encouraging.

Out with Dad two sons and a friend from high school. We got eight. We had shooting at a few others so we should have limited. Great dog work and beautiful weather

Pheasant weapon of choice

Anybody use .22? Shot placement suggestions?

Put up a lot of birds, the dogs did a great job finding them in the gnarly thickets, couldn't ask for a better opening day

Somebody was shot on Game Lands 230 yesterday but the shooter fled. That is according to the PGC FB page.
