Tioga, only hear the best about that county. Plus you could hunt NY if you wanted too also.

Life's too short to hunt with an ugly dog.

Re: Small Game Camp?

I have one in Tioga and it is not a bad choice. I still have to drive for pheasants but grouse and rabbits are good.

There's hunting and there's hunting with a good dog

Re: Small Game Camp?

Gentlemen,
Got to admit we have a good thing in Potter/Tioga with the Grouse,Squirrel and Rabbit hunting, some Pheasant down around the Kettle Creek also. Deer, Bear and Turkey also for big game. Lots and lots of forest, with just about everything a man or lady could want to hunt. Coyote hunting is great also, if you like varment hunting.

Re: Small Game Camp?

Being a Centre Co. native, I'd love to return there. If you know where to go, squirrel, rabbit and grouse are pretty good (but probably not like Tioga for you northern PA fans). As well as turkey and deer for big game. I've seen plenty of bear, but never hunted them though. The game commission stocks pheasants pretty decently around State College too, but that gets hit pretty hard right after the stocking days.

But that's just my preference since I'm a native...
