Michigan scouting

Was out in Michigan this weekend visiting family that lives in the LP. Got out twice with the pup, first time limited to just 45 minutes due to heat/humidity but went to my favorite honey hole and we put up 4 grouse. Next day we had some moisture on the undergrowth so stayed out for 2 hours scouting a new area. Took most of the time to get to and from the cut but put up 2 more birds when we finally made it to the cover, probably 20 minutes at most was spent in the cover itself, but it looks great. Two and a half months til I start my season, can't wait!

That's some nice cover. Good luck out there this year.

I dont remember you taking me to any honey hole!!

Plenty of scouting and good habitat makes for a great hunt.

Nice!!

Take an older friend hunting or fishing - they're the reason we do what we do!

The UP is a great place for wildlife and outdoors activity.
One of my brothers when he retired from 30 years on the fire department brought a seasonal business in Copper Harbor and the activities out that way are endless. He is right up the street from the ferry that goes over to Isle Royal National park a place even a week walk around, camp vacation isn't enough time.
