NJ rockport phesant farm closing

I don't hunt jersey , but I know some pa residents do...mostly because of sunday hunting

I think rockport was their last farm

I wonder where NJ goes from here because so far when it comes to hunting pheasants where NJ goes PA follows

Well this time I suppose they're going to follow PA a bit in that they will purchase pheasants (I guess as adults?) NJ has been slowly moving that direction for a little while now. Or, I hate to say with their governor he might actually end the "state" program similar to how he ended bear hunting on state land.

I didn't see anything about buying chicks
I think the intent is to close the only NJGC facility.

no mention of if stocking will be continued or how their pheasant license factors in

NJ will buy adult birds for stocking starting in 2019. No reduction of bird numbers is planned.

And that's why I didn't say chicks. Kinda hard to raise chicks to adulthood if the only game farm the state has closed, right?
