My younger dog had a couple woodcock contacts, one solid point but the cover was so thick I couldn't see the birds, only heard the flush. Leaves need to come down. Saw about a dozen deer, including a few bucks. Got soaked too.

22 Woodcock contacts 1Grouse but as Ryan said lots of leaves still on only shot 1 Woodcock

Was a good day for finding birds, but not a good day for shooting them to many leaves still on the trees. Flushed 10 grouse, shot at three, none hit. Flushed 6 woodcock, shot at one, hit one.

We camped out Friday night at a campground near the woods. Didn't get in the woods until after 10:00 am dues to the rain. Didn't see or hear a thing.

That's great, especially the grouse #. I don't want your spot but could you tell me if this was PA not? Gives me hope and motivation.
