Dove hunt video

Went out for the opener. Sat all day. The video looks like we had tons of action but in reality we had about 15 minutes of action during the all day hunt. Yeah, we missed a lot.

Nice. I always wondered what dove hunting in the early morning would be like. My son, his GF and myself were out Saturday from 2:30 until 6:30. Saw like 8 birds and only got a shot at one bird that came close enough. He had luck on his side.....This heat is keeping the birds in the trees until just before dark. Hunted by myself last night for about 2 1/2 hours, and only saw birds right before dark. They just aren't moving. I'm waiting until the temps drop a little before I head out again.

Yeah, this video is deceiving. What you don't see , are the hours and hours of seeing nothing. They kept landing in the dead tree behind us. Sometimes they ed fly our way when they left it, sometimes not. They kept landing on the ground to pick at grit on that two track and to pick around the cow patties. There were flurries of activity, but not as in previous years. Hopefully lower temps will help.

Thanks!

Did you make that Go Pro mount or is it a commercial unit?

It's a commercial unit. I can't find the exact one anymore but in the description of the video, on the actual YouTube platform, is a link to one that appears to be the same thing except it's black.

You'll need a remote to operate the camera
