New here Looking for help - Dove hunting

Hello HPA, I would like some guidance please on finding a spot to shoot some Doves this season.
I usually hunt pheasants in NJ, but last year I went to PA for Doves with a friend and loved it. I wanted to go again this year but don't know where to...last year I was in the Kutztown area, on a private farm and it was great.
Does anyone know of a decent SGL or private place that I could go this season? Somewhere in the same region I guess southeast.
Tanks a lot, I hope to hear from someone and happy hunting.

Scout and knock on doors, good places for dove hunting and I doubt you will get many people willing to give them up to a stranger.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Amish farmers are usually good natured to help you out, as long as you know their culture and deal with them with the utmost respect. Just my 2 cents.

Musty smellin Filson Chaps, a German Shorthair and a STEADY POINT! Till HE calls me home.

Doves are literally everywhere this year. Flights coming in early. York county has a few gamelands that all hold alot of doves. You almost can't go wrong.

Re: New here Looking for help - Dove hunting

I'll be driving down this weekend try to find some place, hopefully I'll find some nice farmers. Is it appropriate to offer anything? money? bottle of good wine perhaps?
Maybe I get lucky and find someone on this site that can share some places, but appreciate your comments
Gotta start somewhere!

Respect and a thank you works better from a stranger.

There's hunting and there's hunting with a good dog

Re: New here Looking for help - Dove hunting

First off, where will you be coming from? That might help to narrow down an area for you. Any area that has some good fields with food and cover should be decent enough. Doves are everywhere and you shouldn't have much trouble finding a spot.

Re: New here Looking for help - Dove hunting

I'm coming from NJ and usually take I78. I don't mind driving as far as lancaster area, but would prefer somewhere like Reading, Hamburg, Kutztown which is a bit closer. So far thank you all for the feedback and the Tips!
