I was out 3 times in January. I never saw a squirrel. I hunted late afternoon, probably should have went out in the morning. I tried 3 different area, saw plenty of tracks. I killed a couple of limits in October in each of the three spots, but no luck there in the late season.

Not very many squirrel down here in my neck of SW PA any more. Not sure what to think, but it's easy to go out, and not find one squirrel. And these are in woods that formerly held many.

My son did run into a Fox Squirrel Saturday though.

fleroo, you are going at all wrong. you have to go in the woods and act like a nut. that should bring them arunning.

A bird feeder and a smart squirrel. I have a metal feeder that if too much weight is on the perch it will close the opening to get the sunflower seeds out. This one figured out how to hang on and lift the inspection window. Then it was reaching in and cleaning out the feeder....LOL.. '

I enjoy watching squirrels operate as I do the birds that frequent.
