Anybody still pounding?

Planning on devoting my weekends for the next month and a half doing some squirrel and cottontail while simultaneously getting some data on prospective turkey spots for spring.

Anybody else still getting out for small game?

I've never done this before so I'm excited to mix in some late season and scouting. Already have a few bushytails in the freezer and I want more so I'm just amped up thinking about it.

Looking like the Saturday is going to be rain then wind around here in Perry County so probbaly won't get out. But I'll be out Monday looking for some squirrels with the .22, then actually have a squirrel tournament next Saturday. Been hungry for some squirrel pot pie so hopefully they show their bushy little tails

Came home last week from work only to have a constable in my driveway waiting for me. Served me with divorce papers. Had NO idea it was coming. It was in the paper the next day, obviously planned for some time. I've been with my wife for 22 years, married 18. No chance whatsoever of reconciliation. My season may be over in more ways than one.

Holy. I'm struggling to find the right words. I'm so sorry to hear that, fella. Find faith in whatever you can and KNOW that your LIFE IS NOT OVER. No matter how bad it is or seems. And don't let whiskey or anyone else tell you different. You will get back up. You will.

protect your assets, check to make sure bank account has not been cleared out. get a good attorney. Sorry for what is coming your way but right now you are number 1. There is a law firm that advertises in the Pgh area, Kordell and Kordell I believe. I have not gone thru this, but you have got to protect yourself in case it gets UGLY. hopefully it wont.

I was out for pheasants Monday morning but the snow was too deep to have much of a hunt for the dog or myself. We never even got to some of the best late season habitat before we had enough exercise. We did have a couple rabbits up but I donít shoot them with my bird dog on the ground.

Iíve been flintlock hunting in the afternoon/evening hours so that has been the priority since Christmas.

Thought about going for pheasants this morning, since the snow has melted down a bit, but decided not to since I have a friend who wants to go out with the dog and I next week. Figured I would save what pheasants are left for that hunt so maybe he can get a couple.

I will be much more into pheasant hunting again once flintlock season ends this Saturday.

That is a bummer, but as others have said, even though it will result in some difficult times I am also confident it will lead to some better days and ultimately a happier life for the future.

Life and people change over the years. Neither you nor your wife are the same people you married. Sometimes as life and people change everything else changes too. Those changes can be as positive or as negative as you make them.
