Yeah, I read about that on another forum when it was first reported (in early November.) The article I read explained that they've seen more grizzly bears venturing down onto the Front this year than they ever have. It also explained that it has happened in years past and that whenever it does the bears all follow river corridors down thru the valleys along the Front.

i'm glad the hunter and his dog are ok

but I feel bad for the bear too
its not like hunter and dog are on its menu
this was a sow thinking it had to protect her cubs
the future of the cubs is dim too ,if there not dead already

And this is why I use a 338 ultra mag for pheasants in Montana.
