Hunting with my boys

I took my two boys out today to do a hunt at Mason Dixon. My wife was suposed to go but she couldn't make it. She told me I should still take our sons out. They were able to help plant the birds in the field and got to drive the Kabota (plus blow the horn). They had a good time and want to go out again.
Connor (L) and Carson with one of the birds. Connor just turned 5 and Carson will be 3 next month.

The two taking a break.

Nittany and Blitz pointing the bird that dropped in the woods.

And as I'm typing this Connor is drawing a picture of tall grass, a bird in the air and me with a gun.

Glad to see you getting kids into the sport.

It is the one in Glen Rock. Jerry and Michele have invited us and our boys out to the farm several times. They were able to see and hold the baby goats a month ago. Their daughter likes to show the boys around as well. I'm going to try and get them back out in two weeks so my wife can join us.

Re: Hunting with my boys

This coming Saturday they are having a chukar challenge. 15 minutes timed. Whoever gets the most birds over there dog wins. Separate classes for pointers and flushers.
Jerry and Michele are top notch.
