small game shot gun thread

Just wondering what shotgun you will be toting in the woods with you this season?

Please state the make, model, action, and gage. Any other info you want to put in there as well is fine.

Re: small game shot gun thread

I will be toting my American Arms Silver II 20 ga. mainly for grouse, and woodies, but will be doing a bit of pheasant hunting as well.

WIll be using skeet, improved cylinder in early season and improved cylinder and modified for the late season.

Might start saving up to get a better over under but it will be a long time

Re: small game shot gun thread

I will be carrying a 1959 vintage Field Grade Winchester Model 12 in 12 gauge with a 28" barrel and modified choke. The firearm is in excellent condition and all factory original and would more than likely be left in a gun safe by some but I hunt with it. In the fall I carry it for everything except squirrels and turkeys. For fall turkeys I use my Ithaca/Tikka 12ga-222 O/U Combo. For squirrels a Ruger 22lr 77/22 All Weather.

16 gauge L.C Smith. It's a double.

I'm so far behind I think I'm in first place.

Re: small game shot gun thread

For Rabbits:
When I'm putting meat in the freezer:
Mossbery Maverick 088, 18" barrel, poly choke, 12g

When I've put a few in the freezer I switch to the:
Rossi Single Shot .410 Pistol

Or when I want a tough challenge:
Rossi Single Shot .22lr Pistol

For squirrels:
Marlin 925m .22wmr bolt action Rifle
or
Rossi .22lr single shot Pistol

SSgt USAF 2004-2010

If you want peace, prepare for war.
