Last weekend was John-PA and I's trip out east to run dogs, hang out with some good people, and the Glendale trial. I learn a few new things on every trip and meet a few new people as well. This time I had the great honor to run dogs with THEE Lawdog himself! I could instantly tell how serious he was about running hare as his sequoia broke the sound barrier heading down a goat path! Ruined a two hour wash job on my pretty truck in about 3 seconds.
It was worth it though to chase those elusive hare in that cream puff cover you boys have out east! LOL
Thanks again Rich for taking us to run dogs and having a cold one with me on the tailgate! I had a good time. Next time maybe I'll flex for you, you'll show me all your hare spots then! LOL
I also learned that Harold Mease would literally die in about 4.2 days without his wife around. His dogs would survive longer than him!
Alright, finally for some pics from the trial. Congrats John for placing Molly! I didn't get a bench picture this year as our junk was all picked up and headed West by that point.
Nice seeing you guys again.
Guess you can't come out here and take all the ribbons every time LOL.
Pleasure to see young guys with such nice dogs who are passionate about what they like in a good hard gun dog.
Here a few bench shots
Buddy's Ringo 2nd, Our Duke 3rd in his first AKC licensed trial.
15" females Molly 4th
13" females, The winning dog was born here at our house.
Great to be out running dogs and shooting the bull.
The dogs did quite well considering all the spotty ice and crap.
I wouldn't do that to you Buddy, between my physique and superior hounds, you wouldn't stand a chance! haha. Good thing you took Ringo to the trial Saturday, he would have been 2nd in the swamp too! All kidding aside though, thanks for letting us stay, it was as fun as last year.
Thanks for adding those bench pictures John, I was hoping you would post them up since I didn't have them.
