I picked up a riffle very cheap 6 years ago.
It is a Coltsman, chambered in 308 Win. and is built on a Sako L57 action.
The gun needed some TLC but is in overall VGC.
Has nice wood with a Monte Carlo stock.
Has a slihgt pitting mark that was a little rusty on the bottom of the barrel where it sat on a rack.
Most of the info I found was on the model was chambered in 243. I beleive it was amnufactured in the late 50's to early 60's.
I mounted a Simmons 44 mag scope on it and it is a tack driver.

The L57 was Sako's first medium action, initially chambered in 22-250, 243, 244 and 308 in 1957. They sold actions and barreled actions to Sears-Roebuck, H&R, Colt and others.

Yours is probably worth $400 - $550. Depends on condition. Many Sako collectors are interested in variants, but mostly they want virgin unfired firearms.

Thanks stoolshooter.
Not looking to sell just curious, saw a similar 243 some time ago, asking price was $750.00
I bought the gun for next to nothing and I mean that literaly.
My goal is for my Grandson to take his first deer with it.
