any diiferent ways of hunting these critters now that we can go after them all day? do they gobble in the evening? or do you just set up on the edge of a field and hope to get on cruising before roost? Any opinion will be appreciated. Good luck and be safe!
I was out last evening until dark. Did not hear one gobble. Went back this morning and they were roosted about 120 yards away from where I was set up last night. Even owl hooted on the way out last night. I think I am done with evenings.
find where they are roosting, get there and wait. minimal calling. you most likely won't get responses, you are just hoping they walk close enough on their way to roost in most places.
It can be successful, but a lot of the "excitement" is taken away IMO.
