fayette county

Anybody having any luck in fayette. I've been at it hard an havn't heard anything since saturday. Have called a few hens in tho. But dont seem like the birds been very vocal round here. Although i been on nite shift an not been able to get out before daylight all the time might have sonthin to do withit. Idk. But im gonna keep hitting it. Just love being out there.

Re: fayette county

Lots of luck here(Perryopolis area). They have been gobbling like crazy all day. I was off Thursday and the birds gobbled all day. Almost sealed the deal for my daughter this morning. Lots of pressure out here and they are still pretty vocal.

Re: fayette county

I killed one the first day in Fayette (Forbes State Forest) heard 7 birds that morning.Took a buddy hunting yesterday at sgl 51(Dunbar) heard one on the roost he hit the ground and shut up. Later in the morning we got on a bird he come rite in to 10 yards but my buddy couldn't get turned bc of a tree.

On a side note I hunted Greene county for two days this week and the birds were way more vocal compared to Fayette. From the hillside I was on I could hear atleast a dozen birds and they were still gobbling at 11 when I called it a day.

Re: fayette county

I got a 19# 10" beard on the opener in the Fayette Co. mountains. Heard at least 5 others on the roost opposite the opening I shot mine on.
