Tuesday May 1, Day 3

Can't sleep- today is my opening day. Some rain should pass and leave fog, but hopefully they gobble on roost for a while and can move under them until the fog rolls out an they fly down- least, that's the plan. Know it won't happen like that but gotta dream a lil. Prolly won't hear a thing Mushrooms otta be poppin up well if I don't get on some birds anyhow. Good Luck Today All!

Re: Tuesday May 1, Day 3

It was raining when I got home from work about half an hour ago. Not sure how long it's gonna last but I've alwys believed the best time to go hunting is...when you can!

Good luck out there and be safe.

Going hunting no matter what the weather is. The birds are out and in order to get one I need to be out there too. Good luck to the NY hunter on the opening day.

Re: Tuesday May 1, Day 3

Good luck guys. Radar map looks like the rain is just about over, wet leaves are going to help me out this morning. I have a feeling I'll be slipping past some roosted birds on the way to my destination.

I don't hunt turkeys because I want to, I hunt turkeys because I have to.

Re: Tuesday May 1, Day 3

the wet leaves should help everyone out this morning for sure. Kind of tough to set up on anything good the way the woods have been.

Re: Tuesday May 1, Day 3

Looks like the majority of the rain has pulled out of 2D.

Hopefully I will hear a gobble this morning. Yesterday was creepy silent.

Heard a hen early. Set up on a field with the bow. A little nervous, first time out with a bow. Lol. Rain finally stopped so we will see how it goes. Good luck all.
