Kansas Bound

Well Im leaving Tuesday for Winfield, Kansas, looking for a couple Rios. Pretty excited, been packed for a week. This will be my first Rio hunt. Got an Osceola several years ago and of course a bunch of Easterns. The weather looks good too!

Memories - what a lifetime of hunting gives a man

Re: Kansas Bound

I've hunted in South Central Kansas for a few years. If you find Cottonwoods and water watch out. The bird numbers are amazing in those areas. Also, look out for snakes. There is a pile of them out there.

Re: Kansas Bound

Good luck. Just remember to try and stay in front of the birds, it will make pulling a gobbler out much easier. And the number of birds is amazing!

Re: Kansas Bound

Good luck!!! I was out whitetail archery hunting last fall near independence, kansas. Saw LOTS of turkeys. Wanted to go out this spring to kill a gobbler, but with an other archery hunt scheduled for this fall, I decided not to. Have fun

Re: Kansas Bound

I'd love to do a hunt out that way. Keep using all my vaca up on bear hunts. Good luck. Keep us updated
