Will there be more hunters in the woods?

Assuming the virus crisis continues into May and we are still permitted to hunt...will our woods be polluted with hunters? Obviously a lot of people are not going to work or working online. I believe hunters may have more time to hunt.

I have been very lucky for about 20 years. I had a full time job with extremely flexible hours and plenty of leave as well. Then I retired in 2017. So I hunt a ton of days including every day the first two weeks. And always mix in lots of mid week hunts last two weeks. Always was kind of confident especially on private land that I would rarely see another hunter mid week. Wondering how this new and different world will influence hunters.???

I believe you will have more guys out. The woods seem to be greening up fast this year in my parts. Have to be extra careful.

Yep. if this continues for some time, there will be more people hunting and fishing this spring. Many more.

I also agree that in this corner of the state, spring is springing very early again. With 6 more weeks to go before we even get into the woods, it is going to be very thick.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

If this situation continues for another 5-6 weeks where people aren't working, you're going to have a lot more important things to worry about than how many people are in the woods!!!

I was thinking about the same thing, this year might be busy. I usually run into people almost every day, I just keep bouncing around until I find solitude. By the second week most people lose the desire to out there.

This plus what travel restrictions may be applied? Here in NY it's not looking good. Quite frankly, not knowing what may happen in the meantime, I haven't bought my PA license yet. All I'll have to do is make the decision in time to have it mailed.

Hunting Camps might have fewer people coming to camp for the opener. Last year we had 9 hunters for the opener, after talking to a few guys they aren't sure what they're doing this year. Looks like fewer hunters at our camp.

I've spent most of my money on Waterfowling, Women and Whiskey.
The rest of my money I just wasted.

Still a long way to go before turkey season. I think most will be back to work by then. School employees maybe not.

Traditions only last if you pass them down to your kids!
