It is much later.

Spring Gobbler season is 7 days later this year counting Feb 29th. What are your thoughts?

Fine by me. Some will not be happy. But then, some just aren't happy.

Sounds good to me. Last spring was cold yet to start the season

Sounds good to me 11 days in both Ohio and WV before the PA opener.....might even make it to the Indiana for 4/24 opener and back by 5/2.....

Nice thing for traveling out of state to hunt Spring gobbler vs. deer your don't have all that gear....tree stands, deer carts, backpacks loaded with gear, multi day "Scent Free" clothes, hanging/butchering etc. Heck just need a tent, sleep bag and a little gear......and with the half day hunts one does not miss any hunting with traveling time.....

Then when the wife says are you going back to those states to hunt this fall deer I can say I already have most licenses would be a waste not to use them.......

Only been a couple of times where the May 1st opener of NY was before the Pa. Opener. Definitely one of our later openers.

Did they gobble and come in to calls in early-mid-late May last year?

If it came in June 2nd, the guys who know how to adapt their strategies would still hang their tags.
