New Turkey Gun for Christmas

Well, I got my new turkey gun for Christmas. I guess my wife listened when I gave her the gun to wrap and give back to me. At least she didn't mess up wrapping it. LOL. Can't wait for spring to get here. It is a Savage 301 Turkey. Already comes standard with the turkey choke and the accessory rail for the scope/red dot. Pretty nice gun for under $200 (bare gun)

Which scope did you go with?

Our forefathers didn't bury their guns. They buried those that tried to take them.

I ordered a Simmons scope, but it turned out that it was discontinued. So I ordered a Konus scope. I like the reticle on it. HOpefully it holds up well. If it doesn't I will put a better one on. The next scope I liked was a good bit higher in price. That would have cost me double as I would have had to spend more on her for Christmas. Can always buy another scope at a later time. LOL.
