Favorite Box Call

Just wondering what everyone's favorite box call.

I have had a few cheap mass production ones, but I am currently using a custom one that I bought off of EBAY several years ago from a guy in WV that makes them. I like it alot and may buy another one from him. I believe the guy is Larry Tackett or something like that.

I used a Lynch this year....Have 2-3 others. I use it very little....mostly mouth calls and occasionally a slate or a glass call. Both gobblers this spring cam into mouth double reed calls.

Woodhaven real hen. Cherry with a walnut lid. I also have the walnut/walnut but not as crazy about it. When I buy a box call I tear each one open and run them until I find the one that fits my fancy. I don’t care if they’re 50 calls , I’ll go thru everyone making a pile of ones I like them I’ll go thru that pile narrowing in down to THE ONE. Lol.

While it's only a couple of seasons old, this Matt van Cise box (Dymondwood over Flame Box Elder) has posted some memorable hunts and help me puts birds on the ground.

Thanks Fall Gobbler! My favorite is an all Sycamore short box called, Full Choke.

Will be making many more of them soon.

Got a 32 year old Lynch Fool Proof that is my go to box call.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!
