I have noticed l have been seeing significantly fewer Jake's this year, both in fields and on my trail camera. Last years cold and wet spring could be to blame.

Has anyone else noticed this in the area they hunt? I can't imagine a spring without loud mouth 2 year old gobblers...

Yes. Same thing here. Very few jakes.

Traditions only last if you pass them down to your kids!

I never saw a jake this year.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Other than Jakes, i have not seen 1 single poult in 2 years. Not on camera or any of the farmers fields that i pass everyday or when i am looking for mushrooms throughout the year. I used to but not anymore.

I have seen about 75% less jakes than I normally see . I spend alot of time looking for turkeys and since the beginning of April I have seen jakes 3 times.

I have seen more Jakes this season than I have in the past few years. One property in particular is stacked with a group of bulky Jakes. If a Tom tried to strut in the main field, they escort him off the premises.
Called in two that came in silent on Saturday while the toms were hammering.

It's funny, definite lower population of turkeys nearly anywhere I'm familiar with, but I've seen more Jakes than normal in three different states.
