I called in a dwarf gobbler last year who gobbled just like any old mature gobbler. Did the hen fan her tail out?

Maybe 8-9 years ago I called in a hen that was gobbling. She had a very weird gobble but it was a gobble none the less. I thought a gobbler was going to come into view with a unique gobble, but then she hopped up on a log at 25 yards and no doubt I was staring at a hen turkey.

Several others on this board have mentioned seeing hens gobble as well. Pretty sure it is very rare.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

About 10 years ago, I was in Mexico hunting Gould's birds. Has a gobbler about 100 yards out gobbling hard but not committing. He got quiet and a minute later I see a bird coming in behind some bushes. The bird came out, I put the dot on its head but it was a hen. She then stepped up on a log and let out the dorkiest gobble I ever heard. I looked at my guide, Raphael and said "seniorita ???". He said "si".

I got the whole deal on video....but it's still in Hi-8 format...
