Anyone else grinding through???

I have today and tomorrow off and I can hunt the 31st too..though it looks pretty bad weather wise.

Heading for the field I had the 3 hens in last week. Thankfully the dogs woke me up early...moon is awfully bright.

I didn't get much sleep and had a pretty long weekend at work...I'm not going to last terribly long. We'll see what happens.

Good luck to anyone else still pushing through!

Ivenjad enough of this season a couple weeks ago...I don't remember the last gobble I heard at this point. Didn't hear anything at all last week...

But I know in a couple days I have to wait 11 months to be back in the turkey woods...and that is a thought I hate having!

Good luck to everyone still hunting. Had another exciting morning yesterday, my buddy just didn't get a shot. They're very lonely around here! Took this morning off but I'll be out tomorrow and hopefully thursday with a camera.

I don't hunt turkeys because I want to, I hunt turkeys because I have to.

Not hearing anything...but being on the edge of a swamp it could be tough to hear them between the mosquitos trying to make sure I don't have enough blood to walk outta here and all the birds singing.

Didn't hear anything last time here but 3 hens came right in...

Wish I remembered bug spray today lol.. this is brutal!!!

2 gobbles and that's been it.

Half hour ago I heard what I think was a turkey. Maybe him. Same direction up the field edge. 2 coarse single note yelps. Maybe didn't like the decoys? I know a half strut Jake this late can be bad.

Don't know what to do. Getting toasty already too.

The birds that my brother and I put to bed last night didn't read the plan. I saw and heard nothing except for a bunch of geese that decided to feed with my decoys. My brother went with Plan B and wound up tagging a jake to end his season.

Back at camp now for a much-needed nap, then back out this afternoon. Tomorrow morning will be it for me, so we'll see how it goes.

For whatever reason that bird was in a tall grass pasture/field...you'd think he'd came to the corn stubble not high wet grass.

Never heard or seen him or anything else. Already 80 degrees and got a text that my coondog ripped a nail completely off his paw so came home to fix him up. He's hurting.
